SJB Group, LLC Announces Dr. Aaron S. Bass to lead Coastal and Environmental Services

Baton Rouge, Louisiana, August 14, 2006, SJB Group, LLC today announced Dr. Aaron Bass has been appointed Manager of Coastal and Environmental Services, reporting to Vice President and Engineering Division Manager, Mr. Mickey L. Robertson.

In his role, Dr. Bass will be the primary client contact for the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources and local governmental subdivisions for analysis and design of coastal and hydraulic projects, marinas and harbors, navigation and dredging, and restoration of shorelines. He will also be responsible for coastal restoration and environmental services such as wetlands delineations, wetland restoration and regulatory projects, environmental due diligence, and other environmental studies and permitting services.

Dr. Bass has over 13 years of experience as a wetland ecologist. As a consulting ecologist, Dr. Bass has multi-disciplinary experience in wetlands and ecological services including: wetland delineations and Section 404/Coastal Use Permitting; wetland value assessments (WVAs), natural resource damage assessments (NRDAs), wetland mitigation project design, threatened and endangered species surveys, preparation of NEPA documents, and liaison assistance with state and federal regulatory and resource agencies. Dr. Bass has conducted wetland delineations and threatened and endangered species surveys in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.

Prior to joining SJB Group, Dr. Bass was an Environmental Scientist with Conestoga-Rovers & Associates in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Bass received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1990, a Masters in Science in Oceanography & Coastal Sciences in 1993, and a Ph.D. in Oceanography & Coastal Sciences in 2004 from Louisiana State University A&M.
